When we turn towards our pain we find the possibility for healing.

WELCOME

Kathie Powell Coaching empowers grieving individuals to move with loss mindfully, in honour of the great love that was shared, and to carry the gifts of that love thoughtfully forward as they uncover their truth, hope, courage and embrace the possibilities of life after loss.

MEET KATHIE

Hi, I’m Kathie. Your presence here brings me great joy. And yes, during great sadness and grief there is JOY to be found.  (I live both everyday, sometimes in the same moment.) Grief carries with it many conflicting feelings.

Like you, I have experienced a great deal of loss in my life. I truly think it’s the one thing all of us humans have in common.

As an end-of-life doula and grief coach, my role is to help you navigate your way through living and dying in a way that uplifts and honour's all involved. My approach is rooted in being non-judgmental, empathic and understanding. Serving as a steady presence to navigate the complexities of life, grief and death with grace and dignity.

Ultimately, my purpose is simple yet profound: I empower those I work with to make informed choices that resonate with their deepest wishes

for both grieving and death care.

END OF LIFE DOULA

As an EOL doula I will provide a holistic, family centred approach that is non-medical. My key role is to provide an opportunity to talk openly and honestly about the dying process. Together we can develop a plan for how you want your environment to be as you transition and work to create a space that looks, feels, sounds and smells the way you want.

GRIEF COACHING

No one is the same after a significant emotional loss. You might feel ready to make some changes and need some help getting started. Often, we feel ready in our heads, but not sure if we are ready in our hearts. What you know is you need to make a change. That change is taking one step towards fully living a life of passion and purpose.

PUBLIC SPEAKING

Let's talk about the uncomfortable things so we can get comfortable. Topics include grief and loss, deaht and dying, planning for end of life, getting real about the inevitable and many other grief related topics, many of which I also explore in my book 'The Hardest, Not The Worst Year'.

TESTIMONIALS

I just wanted to thank you for your book and your course I just finished. In the past six weeks I have grown and started processing my grief over the loss of my husband this past January. I was stuck in my grief and I didn’t know how to proceed forward with my new point in my life. I now have the tools I need to go forward with my life and my grief that is now part of me. That’s not a bad thing because grief is just love with no place to go.
